When you work with me, you are entering a space where you can be fully yourself without judgment or pressure. My approach is eclectic, which means I draw from several therapeutic styles and tailor them to your unique needs. I am trained in DBT and EMDR, and I often weave elements of both to help you find emotional balance, clarity, and resilience.
DBT helps you understand your emotions and learn practical skills to stay grounded, so you can respond thoughtfully rather than react impulsively. EMDR helps your mind and body safely process painful memories and experiences that may still be shaping your thoughts and reactions today. When used together, these two approaches support both the moment to moment skills you need to manage stress and the more profound healing your nervous system is seeking. Many clients describe our work as learning how to stay present while gently releasing the emotional weight they have been carrying for years.
Throughout your sessions, I will guide you in noticing your thoughts, your emotions, and the ways you have learned to protect yourself. We will slow things down so you can explore what has been getting in the way of feeling more grounded, connected, and understood. You will build practical skills, and you will also build trust in yourself. My goal is to help you feel safe enough to explore your story and empowered enough to create new patterns moving forward.
You are not meant to do this alone. If you are ready to feel more supported, more whole, and more in control of your life, I am here to walk alongside you.
